Self-conception

“Nothing endures but change.“Heraclitus, Greek philosopher

We humans seek to develop in a world of change – the key competence is to exercise and encounter positive experience of change.

“Even the stones placed in one’s path can be made into something beautiful.“Erich Kästner, German author

Change can create fear that is often initially perceived as obstacles and unwanted interferences from the familiar. However, they who, overcome their fear, will recognise visible opportunities putting these into practise for their personal life and their professional environment. Changes are the catalysis for the individual personality development.

“Your life is what your thoughts make it.“Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor and philosopher

Empty fishbole with a ladder - independence and freedom concept illustration Every human being acts according to his own beliefs. Negative beliefs that have been unconsciously adopted from others limit our own options of action. To clear the way for new, unusual behaviour, it is important to recognise personal beliefs, to question and to examine the origin and veracity negative beliefs.

Are they really our own thoughts, that influence or even control our daily feelings and actions, as well as the outcomes? Or are they picked up beliefs, on our journey, which we believe to be our own? Are these thoughts true and the associated assumptions about change and the consequences, good and necessary?

The basis for new experience and progress is to be clear of our beneficial and hindering beliefs, which we consider to be possible or impossible, to adjust and consciously conduct one’s own thoughts. Literally, that what is held possible will actually happen.

“Only the one who feels understood, is willing, to understand themselves and to follow.“
Emil Oesch, Swiss author and publisher

There are many ways to lead people through time of company change, but only one is considered on achieving lasting success – which is to collect the people involved from their own individual stage of the process within the change, leaving room for anxiety and also taking it serious. Only when people feel understood, will they permit themselves to reduce their resistance and grant new ways to be implemented. This applies to executives and entrepreneurs, as well as, for the individual employee, for the whole staff or for every person.

“What you wish to kindle in others must burn within yourself.”
Augustine of Hippo, Latin, Christian theologian and philosopher

To encourage their staff to following them to new horizons they will reach their goals faster and more successfully the more effective their sensitivity for the needs, interests, ideas, expectations and concerns of the individual employee coined and their own credo strengthened prior to the change step.
